Yes, it’s been a while. Been traveling and working and not posting my travel planning and common sense travel “expertise,” but I think I am back with my latest planned travel – the Mediterranean. Well Barcelona to Rome.
My spouse and I have made a grand plan – Barcelona to Rome in the spring. Finally going to the Mediterranean. I really want to go the Greek Isles, but we are cutting our teeth in this geography in Barcelona and then sailing to Rome. Feels like a grand trip.
The Currency exchange rates are favorable for travels to Europe. Late Spring in Europe seemed lovely. Not too hot and no longer cold….at least the environmental climate.
This will be a sightseeing trip, not a leisurely cruise. Lots to see and do in about 10 days. To start our planning I picked our cruise. I like to book them almost a year in advance, not so this time. A quick decision in September lead to a booking on a May sailing. Note: the earlier you can book your cruise, better choice of cabins. You can (and should) always watch the price and work with the cruise line if the rates go down once your booked. Many travel agencies will help you with that. Gosh this cruise was almost sold out on the deck we like and location we prefer. Got it. Booked it.
Perks too!
Royal Princess, new ship and new ports.
